September 23 closes the 60chicken event mode, the only dated item in CookieRun: Crumble's August update

CookieRun: Crumble is an idle RPG that Devsisters launched worldwide on July 30, 2026. You assemble a team of cookie characters, the fighting proceeds on its own, and your work happens between battles in upgrades and team composition. It runs on mobile and on PC through Google Play Games, and at launch it shipped in five languages: Korean, English, Traditional Chinese, Thai and Japanese [2]. The game is free to play with item purchases [1].

Four weeks after that launch, at 17:00 Japan time on August 27, 2026, Devsisters posted an update release to PR TIMES under the title 『クッキーラン：クランブル』、新TSSRクッキー＆「ギルド討伐戦」アップデート実施！. Two new cookies, a new guild mode, a large stage expansion and a brand collaboration all sit inside that one document [1].

As of September 3, 2026, exactly one of those items has an end date attached. It is the tie-in with the chicken brand 60chicken, and there are 20 days left on it.

Summoning tickets are what the collaboration costs

The release dates the collaboration with the phrase 「来月23日まで」, meaning until the 23rd of next month. The document went out on August 27, which puts the last day at September 23, 2026 [1].

Inside the game, a limited event mode opens. A boss modelled on 60chicken’s popular CCC Chicken menu item appears there, and the mode is played by spending summoning tickets. Clearing boss fights and event missions pays out a dedicated event currency [1].

That is where a decision actually falls. Anyone in the habit of hoarding summoning tickets loses this particular place to spend them once September 23 passes. What the release does not say is what the event currency buys, what happens to any left over, or which regional services the collaboration runs in. The document checked here is a single Japanese-language release distributed through PR TIMES, a Japanese wire.

Two new cookies pointed in opposite directions

The first is an alternative cookie called Bright Seeker Cookie (ブライトシーカークッキー), rated TSSR, a light-attribute ranged unit. Its skill, Satellite Shock, summons a drone during combat, and the drone deals damage with a powerful laser and a shockwave [1].

The second is Pinot Noir Cookie (ピノノワール味クッキー) at SSR, a dark-attribute support unit with two skills. 「影の結束」, bonds of shadow, gives allies float resistance and combo synergy. 「影の弾」, bullet of shadow, reduces the healing enemies receive [1].

A pet was added alongside them. The release writes it as 「電池マロ」 and says it supports the party by granting combo synergy [1].

How either cookie is obtained, and for how long, does not appear in this release. The rarity letters are printed; the acquisition route is not. Setting currency aside on the strength of those letters has nothing behind it yet.

Guild standings are redrawn every week

The new content is Guild Subjugation Battle (ギルド討伐戦), in which guild members combine against a boss named 「重くなりすぎたピニャータ」, the piñata that got too heavy. A piñata is a Latin American party object: a hollow figure packed with sweets, hung up and beaten open.

The scoring is spelled out in the release. Total damage dealt by guild members is converted into score and added together, guilds are then ranked against each other, and the mode, built out of several competitive elements, runs on weekly seasons [1].

Weekly has a practical meaning here. Skip a full week and that week’s contribution is simply gone; there is no way to make it up by playing twice as hard in the next one. The mode is also guild-shaped rather than solo, so for anyone unaffiliated the first step is joining one. What day a season starts, and what the rankings pay, are not in the document.

2,400 stages, and a give-up button in boss fights

The main campaign gained 2,400 stages, reaching 248-30, and the breakthrough system’s maximum tier was extended to 1,000 [1].

Two quality-of-life lines came with it. Stage boss fights now have Give Up and Retry options, and the Cookie Talk display switches itself off when a boss fight begins [1]. In an idle game the boss fight is the part that demands attention, so being able to cut a losing attempt short rather than watch it out changes how long a session feels.

The decision on the table is narrow: whether the summoning tickets you are sitting on go into the collaboration mode before September 23. Still unanswered are how Bright Seeker Cookie and Pinot Noir Cookie are obtained, when the guild seasons run, and which regions the collaboration covers.
