Two hashtags, 2,000 Astrite and a September 17 deadline in the Wuthering Waves Battle Rush

Wuthering Waves is a free open-world action RPG from the Chinese studio Kuro Games. On August 20, 2026 a notice titled "V3.6 Wuthering Waves Battle Rush" went up on the game's official site [1]. It is a contest: record your own combat footage, post it on social media, compete for a prize. As of September 3, 2026 the submission window is still open, with 14 days left on it.

Two hashtags are the entire entry process

The notice describes submission in a single sentence. Post the work publicly on X (Twitter), YouTube Shorts or TikTok with both #WutheringWaves and #WuwaBattle included [1]. No form, no account linking, no separate registration.

The content rules are loose in the same way. The notice states there are no limits on characters, level or scenes, and that every entry featuring your combat in Wuthering Waves qualifies [1]. Language is not a filter either: submissions are open in any language, and entries differing only in language are treated as equivalent works [1].

The window runs "2026/08/20 20:00 ~ 2026/09/17 19:59 (PT)" [1]. PT is US Pacific Time, and mid-September falls inside daylight saving, so that is UTC-7. The notice prints only PT, so converting it to a local clock is arithmetic this article did rather than something Kuro Games published. Worth noting for anyone who entered the last round: the equivalent V3.5 notice gave its window as dates alone, "2026/07/10 - 2026/08/07 (PT)", where this one carries clock times [3].

The trap sits in reposting. Multiple entries are allowed, but the same work published on different platforms does not count again toward rewards, and a post that gets deleted loses its claim to rewards entirely [1].

Getting the hashtag wrong means entering a different contest. On the same August 20, half an hour before the Battle Rush notice, Kuro Games posted a separate Fan Creation Event called "Lamplight in Mirage, Sword's Resolve in Heart". That one uses #WuWaFanart, runs on X, Instagram and Facebook, and requires a submission form on top of the post. Its prize list includes an iPhone 17 Pro 512GB [2].

The 2,000 is a prize, not a payout

The notice says entrants compete for a reward of Astrite x2,000. That is a prize decided by judging, not a participation reward paid to everyone who posts. Alongside it sits a chance to be featured on the official social accounts with the creator credited directly [1]. Astrite is the currency spent on the game's character recruitment, earned through play or bought with money.

Only one line in the reward text carries a headcount: ten extra winners, chosen separately from the above, receive a $50 Amazon Gift Card [1]. How many people receive the Astrite is not stated anywhere in the notice. Treating those 2,000 as budgeted currency has nothing behind it.

Four judging criteria are listed: adherence to the theme, degree of completion, reception among players, and other relevant factors [1]. The third one gives posting date real weight. A clip uploaded the night before the cutoff has very little time to accumulate any reception at all.

AI assistance is on the exclusion list

The notice attaches a list of entries that may be excluded from judging [1].

• Works not created in accordance with Wuthering Waves
• Works found to contain plagiarism or infringement of intellectual property rights
• Works submitted outside the event period
• Works created with the assistance of AI technology
• Works featuring extremely aggressive content, including pornography, violence, politics or racism
• Works that have already been used for commercial purposes
• Works deemed inappropriate by the judges

The fourth line is the one worth reading closely. The wording is assistance, not authorship, which reaches further than fully generated video. Where assistance begins is not defined. Whether auto-generated captions or an editor's enhancement tools land inside that boundary is not addressed either.

Results arrive as a reply request, not a notice

The rules state that failing to reply to official staff within seven days of notification counts as waiving the reward [1]. Results reach the individual first.

Scrolling back through the official news list makes that structure plainer. As of September 3, 2026 the Battle Rush notice has appeared 21 times, from June 7, 2024 through this 3.6 edition, roughly once per version. Not one of those 21 has a matching winners announcement on the list [4]. The contrast is sitting in the same feed: the Fan Creation Event gets a winners reveal every single version.

So watching the news page for results is the wrong place to watch. The account used to enter is where notification lands, which makes its notifications and direct messages the thing to leave open, along with whatever setting governs messages from senders you do not follow.

Two things are worth checking on an existing entry: that both hashtags are actually on the post, and that the post is genuinely public. What the notice still does not say is how many people receive the Astrite, or when results are announced.
