A September 15 deadline for G-STAR's Indie Showcase 2.0: Galaxy, and four days behind the booth for whoever gets in
The G-STAR Organizing Committee posted the call on September 1 and opened applications the next day. One Google Form closes at 16:00 Korea time on September 15, judging runs September 16 to 18, and the exhibition itself takes four days, November 19 to 22, in Hall 2 of BEXCO in Busan.

The deadline is 16:00 Korea time on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, which is 07:00 UTC. The G-STAR Organizing Committee posted the notice for Indie Showcase 2.0: Galaxy on its official board on September 1, and the application window opened on Wednesday, September 2 [1]. As of September 3, 2026 that leaves twelve days.
G-STAR is the largest games exhibition in South Korea, held at BEXCO in Busan. It is organised by the Korea Association of Game Industry and run by the G-STAR Organizing Committee together with the Busan IT Industry Promotion Agency, under the 2026 slogan Expand Your Horizons [3]. Indie Showcase 2.0: Galaxy is the block of that show floor set aside for independent studios.
Four days on the floor of BEXCO Hall 2
The notice puts the exhibition from Thursday, November 19 to Sunday, November 22, 2026, four days, on the first floor of BEXCO Exhibition Hall 2, inside the BTC area [1]. BTC is the consumer side of G-STAR, the part visitors buy tickets for, so a selected team spends those four days in front of the public rather than in front of buyers.
One date needs care. The official exhibitor page fixes the BTC exhibition at November 19 to 22 and the business-facing BTB exhibition at November 19 to 21 [2]. The event outline page, meanwhile, prints a period beginning Wednesday, November 18, and the schedule on that same page places the Korea Game Awards on November 18 [3]. The halls open on the 19th.
One form in, and no way to ask why
Applications run, in the notice’s own formatting, from 09.02 (Wed) to 09.15 (Tue) 16:00. The single channel is a Google Form (https://forms.gle/SAYjb6GHshkiUKveA), and the materials asked for are a studio introduction plus a game introduction and gameplay video. Questions go to indie@gstar.or.kr or to 02-6203-1997 and 02-3477-2785 [1].
Judging and selection are scheduled for 09.16 to 09.18. Three days after the form closes, the answer exists [1].
The clause attached to that is short and heavy. The notice states that the judging criteria, the judges and the evaluation information are not disclosed, and that no separate appeal is possible [1]. A team that does not make it has no counter to ask for a reason at, and no route to a second look.
Three conditions that arrive with a slot
The first is presence. The notice reads that the core developer must personally operate the G-STAR Indie Showcase booth for all four days of the event [1]. Sending a contractor, or splitting the run across a rotating crew, sits outside what the notice describes. Whether four straight days in Busan are possible is the calculation to finish before opening the form.
The second is the ban on double entry. A company already exhibiting in the G-STAR BTC hall, alone or as part of a joint pavilion, cannot also apply to the Indie Showcase, and if a duplicate entry is confirmed the booth is closed and every item of support is withdrawn in full [1].
The third is ratings. A title rated Not for Minors under Korean law can be submitted only if it has already cleared domestic classification [1]. A build in that category that has not been through the Korean rating process has to finish there first.
What the notice leaves blank
How many teams get picked, and how many exhibits there will be, appear only as to be confirmed later. There is no entry fee in the notice, and no list of what a selected team receives. Eligibility is written as outstanding indie games from Korea and abroad, and no narrower criterion follows [1].
This is also not a first edition. The same notice board still carries a post dated October 16, 2025 announcing the judging results for G-STAR Indie Showcase 2.0: Galaxy, so an application and judging cycle under this name ran last year as well [4].
So the task before 16:00 on September 15 is one Google Form. The questions to settle before that are whether four days in Busan are free, and whether the studio is already committed to a BTC booth under another name. What the Organizing Committee has not published is the number of slots or the support attached to them, and the notice does not say when either figure arrives.
