Two days before launch, Dokkebi-ui Segye tops Korea's free games chart and opens October 8 at 11 a.m.
Kakao Games opened pre-downloads for SuperCat's 2.5D MMORPG Dokkebi-ui Segye on October 6, and it reached No. 1 among free games on the Korean App Store that day. It launches October 8 at 11 a.m. KST, with paid currency bundles from KRW 3,300 to KRW 99,000.

Kakao Games opened pre-downloads for Dokkebi-ui Segye (Korean title 도깨비의세계) at 11 a.m. KST on October 6. The game is a 2.5D MMORPG developed by SuperCat, and it launches officially on October 8 at 11 a.m.[1]. On the day pre-downloads opened, it reached No. 1 on the Korean App Store's free games chart, where Roblox sat in fifth[2]. This article reflects information as of October 6, 2026.
PC players go through Google Play Games
Pre-downloads run until launch and are available on both PC and mobile[1]. On phones, the game downloads directly from Google Play and the Apple App Store. On PC, players first install Google Play Games from the official website, then download the Dokkebi-ui Segye launcher inside that app[1]. The Google Play listing also shows the game as available on Android and Windows[3].
The App Store version is 260.9 MB and requires iOS 16.0 or later[4]. Kakao Games opened the game's official website the same day, including a page that introduces Dosul, the game's core magic system, with video[1].
240 Yeongseok for KRW 3,300, 7,200 for KRW 99,000
The App Store lists five purchase options, all bundles of the paid currency Yeongseok: 240 for KRW 3,300, 800 for KRW 11,000, 2,400 for KRW 33,000, 4,000 for KRW 55,000 and 7,200 for KRW 99,000[4]. Google Play shows a range of KRW 2,000 to KRW 99,000 per item[3]. Both store descriptions say the game includes randomized paid items, and the App Store separately marks it as containing random boxes[3][4]. Both stores rate it 15+[3][4].
At an August 20 media briefing, Kakao Games said the game splits its currencies three ways: paid Yeongseok, Yeopjeon for character growth and Geumjeon for trades between players. The marketplace runs on Geumjeon earned through play rather than on Yeongseok, and Yeongseok buys memberships, passes and individual items such as outfits and mounts[5]. PC payments come with a promotion. From launch at 11 a.m. on October 8 until 11:59 p.m. on October 17, paying through Google Play Games on PC earns coupons worth up to 90% off. The coupons are first come, first served and may run out early[1].
Skills instead of classes in a 2.5D fantasy
The game is based on Myeolgwi Sudojeon, a web novel and webtoon serialized on Naver. The Google Play listing describes Dokkebi-ui Segye as a story set 300 years before Myeolgwi Sudojeon[3]. Its look places 2D pixel-art characters over 3D backgrounds[1]. SuperCat previously made the mobile game Baram-ui Nara: Yeon[5].
According to the August briefing, the game has no fixed classes. Players combine 12 skill styles and about 90 skills to build their own fighting style[5]. Players cannot attack each other in ordinary fields, and player-versus-player combat happens only in dedicated areas[5]. An AI assistant called Myorong diagnoses a character's progress and suggests equipment and skills. Kakao Games said it would launch as a beta-level feature and would not recommend paid items[5]. The App Store does not yet have enough reviews to show a rating[4]. The actual lineup of paid products will be visible once servers open on October 8.
