Heartopia lets you stack and float furniture, and a White Snake collab starts September 30

The life sim Heartopia widened its home building tools with the September 23 maintenance. Furniture can now overlap and float, and the same notice set dates for Mid-Autumn events and a collaboration with the TV drama New Legend of Madame White Snake starting September 30[1]. Everything below was checked against the official Steam notices as of September 27, 2026. Event times are server time, as the notice gives them.

Overlapping and floating furniture

Building Settings gained Ignore Overlap and Floating Placement. Both unlock once your Home Evaluation score is above 1,500, and with them on you can push one piece of furniture into another or snap it to the 3D spatial grid in midair. Precision mode also gained Free Placement and Free Rotation[1].

There are more display pieces too. Mannequins, umbrella racks and a kitty costume rack show off outfits, handheld items, umbrellas and pet costumes. Most come from research at the Self-Service Lab, and some styles can be bought at Bob's Special Decor Store[1].

Mid-Autumn and the collab

The Mid-Autumn events run from September 25 to October 12: check-ins at moon-viewing spots on the map, a limited Mid-Autumn store, and sea lanterns you can release along the shore. A Lotus Sea Lantern carries a blessing message and stays near the shore for a while[1]. Guild sign-ins pay double Moonlight Crystals from September 28 to October 12[1].

From September 30 to October 26 the New Legend of Madame White Snake collab runs. The event tab gives a free Crane & Pine Oil-Paper Umbrella, and Lingzhi collected on the map trades in the exchange store for Suzhen and Xu Xian outfits, a furniture set and pet costumes. Lingzhi comes free from Resident Requests and event quests, or can be bought with Heart Diamonds[1]. The Xiaoqing and Fahai outfits are paid items sold for Heart Diamonds[1].

The draw exhibition and a gift to claim

From September 26 to November 28 the Gilded Acorn Exhibition Starspell Voyager is open, with Cat Witch, Owl Messenger and Platform exhibitions that you draw from with Exhibition Passes[1]. The notice gives no odds.

A September 24 flash update fixed a Hot Air Balloon event that would not start properly and sent everyone Gold x8,000 and Wishing Star x5. It has to be claimed from the in-game mailbox before September 27, 17:00 (UTC-5)[2]. If you have not opened the mailbox yet, do that first.
