A week of sign-ups left for Arknights: Endfield's Steam Pioneer Test

Gryphline opened recruitment on August 26 for a limited-time test running before the Steam version launches. One survey completes the application, and the window shuts on September 10 at 13:00 UTC+8. Slots are capped, only some applicants get in, and selection arrives by email.

Where to play

Arknights: Endfield is a 3D strategy RPG from Gryphline, part of the Hypergryph family. You build a frontier base and lay out resource lines while running real-time combat on top of it, and the game is already live on mobile and the official launcher. The Steam build is the part that has not shipped. As of September 3, 2026, the release field on its Steam store page still reads “Coming soon”, and the game is listed free to play [2].

The test sits in that gap. A Steam announcement posted on August 26, “Steam [Pioneer Test] Recruitment Open!”, describes a limited-time test held before the game officially launches on Steam, and opened sign-ups the same day [1]. Recruitment closes on September 10 at 13:00 UTC+8, which is 05:00 UTC. That leaves one week.

One survey in, one email back

The process is short. Open the survey linked in the announcement (https://hgto.cc/n/e0zKE5), complete it, and the application is filed. Recruitment results and test news go out through the official Discord at discord.gg/akendfield [1].

The conditions attached to it are worth reading before you click. Slots are limited, so only a portion of the people who complete the questionnaire will be selected, and submitting the form does not guarantee a place. Anyone chosen receives an official notification email with the details; no email means no slot. Information that does not match reality can cost you the qualification, and applicants must meet the legal age in their own country or region along with the device requirements. The notice also asks players not to share, sell or buy test access through unofficial channels [1].

An i5-9400F floor and 90GB of headroom

The recommended specification is an Intel Core i7-10700K or equivalent and above, 16GB or more of RAM, and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 or equivalent and above. The minimum is an Intel Core i5-9400F or equivalent, 16GB of RAM, and a GeForce GTX 1060 or equivalent, on Windows 10 or Windows 11 64-bit with DirectX 11.1 or later [1].

Storage is the harder number. The game wants 50GB or more of free space, plus another 40GB while the files are being extracted, so the drive has to hold 90GB until the install finishes. An SSD is recommended [1]. If a single laptop is doing all your work, that is the line to measure before you open the form.

Live servers, not a sandbox

During the test the Steam version runs on the live servers, with game content, account data and progress synced across all platforms [1]. The account you have been raising on mobile carries straight over, and this is not a separate build walled off from the running game.

Two more lines sit in the same section. In-game purchases are enabled, and there is no data wipe [1]. Nothing charged or earned during the test is rolled back when it ends.

That does not make it a finished build. The announcement says the Steam version is still being optimized and that bugs, client issues and online service anomalies may turn up, with feedback collected through in-game customer support and other official channels. It also states that test content does not represent the quality of the official release [1].

What five days of logins earns

The reward condition is attendance. Log into the Steam version on five days during the test period and the rewards become claimable, with delivery after the game officially launches on Steam. The list runs three lines: Oroberyl x180, T-Creds x16,000, and Elementary Cognitive Carrier x15 [1]. The announcement does not explain what any of the three are spent on.

Which leaves the open question. The date those rewards depend on, the official Steam launch, has not been announced. The store page was still showing “Coming soon” on September 3 [2]. The only fixed date on the calendar is the September 10 application deadline at 13:00 UTC+8, and everything after it depends on what Gryphline posts to Discord.
