While not a narrative-driven campaign, Rising Front delivers an environmental story of grim attrition on the Western Front. The game focuses on unscripted, emergent narratives created by the chaos of no-man's-land, where the sheer volume of ragdoll physics and artillery impacts conveys the depressing reality of trench warfare.
Gameplay
The gameplay features a fluid hybrid camera system, allowing players to instantly switch between a bird's-eye General's view to issue orders and a soldier's FPS view to join the fray. Players spend battle credits to spawn waves of infantry and vehicles while utilizing a real-time building system to construct intricate trench networks and defensive forts mid-battle.
