About

People of Note is a wonderfully artistic turn-based RPG musical that seamlessly intertwines music and combat. Channeling late 90s console RPGs, it features a dynamic combat system built around musical stanzas, shared action economy, and genre-shifting buffs. Join Cadence to recruit an ensemble of musicians and compete in a world segregated by musical preference.

Story

In the world of Note, genres of music are segregated into distinct cities and cultures. After being ejected from the Noteworthy Song Contest, young pop star Cadence sets out to launch a musical revolution. She must recruit diverse musicians like the classic-rocker Fret to form a band, win the contest, and save the world from an emerging threat.

Gameplay

Battles are vibrant musical performances where turns are 'stanzas' and time signatures dictate your party's action economy. Strategize around real-time changing musical styles that amplify specific abilities, and execute Super Mario RPG-style 'mash-up' attacks. Master rhythm-based mechanics and solve 'Theoretical Battles' to optimize your band's synergy.
