About
Isonzo is a tactical, team-based multiplayer first-person shooter set on the treacherous Italian Front during World War I. Players engage in authentic mountain warfare, battling across scenic peaks, rugged valleys, and idyllic towns of northern Italy. Elevating historical combat to unexpected heights, the game immerses you in the brutal, high-altitude clashes between Italian and Austro-Hungarian forces.
Story
Drawing inspiration from the twelve historical Battles of the Isonzo (1915-1917), the game depicts a grueling struggle for dominance along the Isonzo River. It authentically recreates a lesser-known theater of the Great War, capturing the desperation and heroism of soldiers fighting in extreme alpine conditions against fortified Austro-Hungarian positions.
Gameplay
At the core of Isonzo is the dynamic Offensive mode, where attackers push through interconnected maps to breach defensive lines while defenders hold bunkers and foxholes. Matches support up to 48 players in squad-based combat, utilizing six distinct classes to coordinate artillery, deploy gas, and engage in slow-paced, tense, and lethal high-altitude warfare.
