Dino Crisis 2 - 50% OFF on Steam

Dino Crisis 2 is currently featured on the Steam store!

About

Abandoning the slow-burn survival horror of its predecessor, Dino Crisis 2 pivots aggressively into high-octane, arcade-style action. Players traverse a time-warped Cretaceous jungle, chaining dinosaur kills to rack up 'Extinction Points' used to purchase an arsenal of heavy weaponry. It is a relentless, fast-paced thrill ride that prioritizes speed, flow, and firepower over resource scarcity.

Story

Special operative Regina returns, joined by team leader Dylan Morton, on a mission to rescue survivors from a research facility transported through time to the Cretaceous Period. As they navigate jungles and eroded ruins, they must unravel the mystery of the 'Edward City' disappearance while battling prehistoric beasts to return to the present.

Gameplay

The game utilizes fixed camera angles but shifts the focus to continuous momentum and combo-based combat. Players can dual-wield main and sub-weapons, destroying waves of dinosaurs to earn currency for upgrades at save stations. The loop is addictive and aggressive: kill enemies efficiently to buy better gear, unlocking new paths and secrets.

Key Features

  • 1Dual-Protagonist Campaign: Switch between Regina and Dylan, utilizing their unique weapon sets.
  • 2Extinction Point System: A currency-based economy where kills translate directly to purchasing power.
  • 3Tactical Sub-Weapons: Use machetes to cut vines or firewall guns to create defensive barriers.
  • 4Combo Mechanics: Chain kills together without taking damage to maximize point earnings.
  • 5On-Rails Segments: High-speed shooting sections involving jeeps and boats break up the exploration.
  • 6Dino Colosseum: A post-game arena mode where players battle waves of enemies.
  • 7Dino Files: Collectible data logs that provide lore and unlock unlimited ammo.
